We use a variety of methods to help you move through life’s challenges.
Modalities of Therapy Utilized
-
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is a modality of psychotherapy that stems from the idea that one’s problems are at least partially based on learned patterns of behavior that are not in one’s best interest. To combat this, CBT calls upon problem-solving skills to reframe these thoughts, reducing psychological distress to achieve more ease and harmony. CBT can be a great modality to treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other behavioral issues.
-
Trauma-Focused CBT
TF-CBT, or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is an evidence-based treatment known to assist children in facing the negative effects of trauma, including the ability to provide them with a way to process their traumatic memories so that they can move through them. TF-CBT is highly effective at treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms, and helping individuals identify and control their own emotional experiences.
-
Family Therapy
Family therapy is deep, profound work that incorporates the entire family unit, rather than just the individual. Family therapy aims to assist families in creating optimal patterns for living well. Through family therapy, members of the family learn to understand and validate each individual’s experience within their family unit, to embolden the foundation of their family unit, and to collaborate in working towards a collective solution to everyone’s benefit.
-
Play Therapy
Play therapy is a modality used to help children express themselves freely and move through repressed emotions via the act of play. Through play therapy, the therapist can observe the child from a different lens, and both therapist and client gain insight. Play therapy can assist children with academic and social struggles, anxiety, trauma, depression, grief or anger, and may also aid those with deficit disorders.
